Philodendron is a large genus of tropical flowering plants native to Central and South America. They are popular for their ease of care and diverse foliage, which can be glossy green, velvety, or highly structured. The genus is split into two main types: Vining/Climbing (like the Heart-leaf P.) and Upright/Self-Heading (like P. selloum). They are often confused with Monsteras. They rarely flower indoors.
