Dutch Anthurium

Anthuriums are a large genus of tropical plants native to the Americas, recognizable by their glossy, heart-shaped, dark green leaves and their famous waxy, brightly colored "flowers." The colorful part is actually a modified leaf called a spathe, which surrounds a central spike called a spadix (the true flowers).
