Light:

Prefers bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while low light may reduce the variegation.

Can tolerate low light but grows slower in these conditions.

Watering:

Water when the top 2-3 inches of soil are dry. Stick your finger into the soil to check.

Avoid overwatering, as it’s susceptible to root rot. Make sure the pot has drainage holes.

Humidity:

Thrives in moderate to high humidity. Ideal for areas like bathrooms or kitchens.

If your home is dry, consider using a pebble tray, misting the plant occasionally, or running a humidifier.

Temperature:

Prefers temperatures between 65-85°F (18-29°C).

Avoid exposing it to cold drafts or temperatures below 60°F (15°C).

Soil:

Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a mix for aroids or general houseplants. Adding perlite or orchid bark can improve aeration.

Fertilizer:

Feed with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).

Reduce feeding during fall and winter.

Pruning:

Prune as needed to control size and encourage bushier growth. Trim leggy stems to promote branching.

Repotting:

Repot every 1-2 years or when it becomes root-bound. Use a pot 1-2 inches larger in diameter.

Pests:

Watch for common pests like spider mites, mealybugs, or scale. Wipe leaves with neem oil or insecticidal soap if pests are detected.

Propagation:

Easily propagated by stem cuttings. Cut a stem just below a node, and place it in water or moist soil. Roots typically form within a few weeks.
