Light

• Bright, indirect light is ideal

• Tolerates medium light, but leaves may get smaller with less silver

• Avoid direct sun—it can scorch the leaves

 Water

• Water when the top 2 inches of soil are dry

• Likes evenly moist soil, but never soggy

• Overwatering = yellow leaves and root rot

 Soil

• Needs a well-draining, airy mix

• Good option:

  • Potting soil

  • Perlite or pumice

  • Orchid bark or coco chips

This keeps roots happy and prevents compaction.

 Humidity

• Prefers moderate to high humidity (50–70%)

• Will tolerate average home humidity, but higher humidity = bigger, prettier leaves

 Temperature

• Thrives in 65–85°F (18–29°C)

• Avoid cold drafts and temps below 60°F (15°C)

 Fertilizer

• Light to moderate feeder

• Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer

• Use a balanced houseplant fertilizer at ½ strength

 Growth Habit & Training

• Naturally a trailer, but can also climb

• Giving it a moss pole or trellis can encourage:

  • Larger leaves

  • More pronounced silver pattern

 Maintenance

• Rotate for even growth

• Wipe leaves occasionally (those velvety leaves collect dust!)

• Prune to keep it bushy—cuttings root easily in water or soil
