Size

* The plant photos shown are our stock images used to represent the general appearance, size, and quality of the plant you’ll receive. Please remember that each plant is unique—natural variations in color, shape, and size are completely normal!

 Light

  • Best: Bright, indirect light — filtered sun through a curtain or a few feet back from a window.

  • Tolerates: Medium to low light, but colors will be less vivid and growth slower.

  • Avoid: Harsh direct sunlight — it can fade or burn her leaves.

 Water

  • Keep soil evenly moist, but not waterlogged.

  • Water when the top inch feels slightly dry to the touch.

  • Use filtered, rain, or distilled water — tap water minerals can cause brown edges.

  • Crispy tips: too little humidity or water with minerals.

  • Droopy leaves: too dry or too wet — check the soil before adjusting!

 Humidity

  • Loves high humidity (above 50%, ideally 60–70%).

  • Boost humidity by:

    • Using a humidifier,

    • Placing on a pebble tray with water, or

    • Grouping with other humidity-loving plants.

  • Dry indoor air (especially in winter) can cause brown edges or curling.

 Temperature

  • Ideal: 65–80°F (18–27°C).

  • Avoid: Cold drafts, sudden temp changes, or direct blasts from vents.

  • Think “tropical rainforest” — warm and stable.

 Soil & Potting

  • Needs moisture-retentive but airy soil:

    • 2 parts coco coir or peat

    • 1 part perlite

    • 1 part orchid bark or pumice (optional for airflow)

  • Pot with good drainage holes to prevent soggy roots.

 Feeding

  • Feed monthly in spring and summer with a diluted balanced fertilizer (¼–½ strength).

  • Skip feeding in fall and winter when growth slows.

 Extra Tips

  • Wipe leaves gently every few weeks to keep them clean and breathing.

  • Rotate the pot occasionally so she grows evenly.

  • Don’t worry if her leaves move up and down throughout the day — it’s her natural prayer plant behavior (nyctinasty)!
