Pink Lava Syngonium

Light

• Bright, indirect light is best

• Tolerates medium light, but pink will fade

• Avoid harsh direct sun (pink areas burn easily)

 Brighter light = stronger pink coloration.

Water

• Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry

• Likes evenly moist soil, not soggy

• More forgiving than many variegated plants

Signs:

• Drooping → thirsty

• Yellowing → too wet

Soil

• Well-draining, slightly moisture-retentive mix

• Good combo:

  • Potting soil

  • Perlite or pumice

  • Coco coir or orchid bark

Syngoniums like moisture—but with airflow.

Temperature & Humidity

• Prefers 18–30°C (65–85°F)

• Average household humidity is fine

• Thrives with 50–70% humidity

Higher humidity = bigger, softer leaves.

Fertilizing

• Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring & summer

• Balanced fertilizer at ½ strength

• Too much fertilizer can dull the pink

Growth Habit & Support

• Can trail or climb

• Give it a pole if you want larger, more mature leaves

• Easy to prune and shape

Great for hanging pots or totems.

• Prune regularly to keep it bushy

• If growth turns greener, increase light

• Very easy to propagate from node cuttings

Common Issues

• Brown tips: low humidity or inconsistent watering

• Yellow leaves: overwatering
