Flower colors vary! Please contact shop directly if you are looking for a specific color.
Light
- Prefer bright, indirect light (east or south-facing windows are best, but place a few feet away).
- Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves.
Watering
- Water about once a week in spring and summer and every 10-14 days in fall and winter.
- Watering depends on potting medium, moss will retain water more than bark!
- Use lukewarm water and let it drain completely. Never let the roots sit in water.
Humidity & Temperature
- Thrive in moderate humidity (50-70%). Use a humidity tray or mist occasionally. Do not mist flowers directly
- Prefer temperatures between 65-80F
- Keep away from cold drafts or direct heat sources.
- ensure good air circulation- avoid overcrowding, use a fan, or have near open window.
Soil & Potting
- Use a well-draining orchid mix (bark or sphagnum moss)
- Clear plastic pots with drainage holes help monitor root health.
Fertilizer
- Feed with a balanced orchid fertilizer (e.g., 20-20-20) every other watering during active growth (spring & summer).
- Reduce feeding to once a month in fall and winter.
Pruning & Repotting
- After flowers drop, trim the spike above a node to encourage reblooming.
- Cut brown stems at the base.
- Repot every 2 years, when roots outgrow the pot or the medium breaks down.
Common Problems
- Wrinkled leaves= Underwatering or root rot
- Yellow leaves= Overwatering or too much direct sun
- No blooms= Not enough light or nutrients
