The Peperomia glabella—also known as the Creeping Peperomia—is a laid-back plant with smooth, glossy leaves and a trailing growth habit that’s perfect for hanging baskets or shelf edges.
🔆 Light

Bright, indirect light is best. It can handle medium light too.

Avoid direct sun—it’ll scorch those delicate leaves.

It can grow under fluorescent or grow lights if needed.
💧 Water

Water when the top inch of soil is dry.

In general: about once every 1–2 weeks, less in winter.

Leaves may wrinkle or droop a bit if it’s thirsty—it bounces back fast!
🪴 Soil

Loves well-draining soil. A mix for houseplants with added perlite or orchid bark is ideal.

Avoid compact or moisture-retaining soil.

Prefers 65–80°F.

Doesn’t like cold drafts or sudden temp drops.

Tolerates average home humidity, but a little extra moisture (like from a pebble tray or humidifier) can boost growth.
🌱 Fertilizer

Feed lightly during spring and summer—once a month with a balanced houseplant fertilizer.

Skip feeding in fall and winter.

Pinch back for a fuller shape—it’ll get a bit leggy over time.

Super easy to propagate! Just snip a stem with a few leaves and pop it in water or moist soil.
