Size

The plant photos shown are our stock images used to represent the general appearance, size, and quality of the plant you’ll receive. Please remember that each plant is unique—natural variations in color, shape, and size are completely normal!

LIGHT

  • Prefers bright, indirect light.

  • Tolerates medium to low light, making it ideal for offices or rooms with filtered sunlight.

  • Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the fronds.

WATER

  • Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy.

  • Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry.

  • Reduce watering slightly in winter when growth slows.

  • Avoid letting water accumulate in the crown to prevent rot.

SOIL

  • Use a well-draining potting mix, ideally with peat, perlite, or sand.

  • Avoid compacted or water-retentive soils.

HUMIDITY

  • Prefers moderate humidity.

  • Can tolerate average indoor humidity but will thrive with occasional misting.

GROWTH HABIT

  • Slow-growing, clumping palm.

  • Typically reaches 3–4 feet indoors over several years.

  • Arching fronds give a lush, graceful appearance.

PROPAGATION

  • Usually propagated via division of clumps rather than cuttings.

  • Division is best done during repotting.

PRUNING & MAINTENANCE

  • Remove yellow or brown fronds to maintain appearance.

  • Avoid cutting green fronds, as they are vital for growth.

  • Dust fronds occasionally for healthy photosynthesis.

REPOTTING

  • Repot every 2–3 years or when root-bound.

  • Use a pot with drainage holes.

FERTILIZING

  • Feed every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer.

  • Reduce feeding in fall and winter.

FLOWERING

  • Rare indoors; primarily grown for foliage.

TOXICITY

  • Non-toxic to humans and pets.

PRO TIPS

  • Keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

  • Rotate periodically for even growth.

  • Low light tolerance makes it perfect for indoor corners or offices.

  • Moderate watering and occasional misting will keep fronds vibrant and healthy.
