Size

* The plant photos shown are our stock images used to represent the general appearance, size, and quality of the plant you’ll receive. Please remember that each plant is unique—natural variations in color, shape, and size are completely normal!

Light

  • Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its variegation.

  • Can tolerate medium light, but variegated sections may lose their color in low light.

  • Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves.

Water

  • Water when the top 2–3 inches of soil are dry.

  • Overwatering can cause root rot; underwatering can make leaves droop or brown.

  • Reduce watering slightly in winter.

Humidity

  • Thrives in high humidity (50%+).

  • Low humidity may cause brown leaf edges.

  • Misting or a humidifier can help in dry environments.

Temperature

  • Ideal range: 65–85°F (18–29°C).

  • Keep away from cold drafts or temperatures below 60°F (15°C).

Soil

  • Use a well-draining, aerated potting mix.

  • A mix of potting soil + perlite + orchid bark works well.

  • Ensure the pot has drainage holes.

Fertilizer

  • Feed once a month during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer.

  • Avoid fertilizing in fall/winter when growth slows.

Pruning & Support

  • Prune to remove damaged or yellow leaves.

  • Can be trained on a moss pole to encourage climbing and larger leaves.

Propagation

  • Propagate via stem cuttings in water or soil.

  • Make sure cuttings include at least one node for root development.

Common Issues

  • Yellow leaves: overwatering or poor drainage.

  • Brown leaf edges: low humidity or inconsistent watering.

  • Variegation fading: insufficient light.

  • Pests: spider mites, mealybugs, scale — treat promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
