🌞 Light

  • Bright, indirect light is your best friend here. This hoya loves light, especially since it’s variegated, but don’t fry it in direct sun. Morning sun is okay, but harsh afternoon rays? Nah, too much.

  • If the variegation starts fading or the plant looks leggy, it probably needs more light.

đź’§ Water

  • Hoyas like to dry out between waterings. So let the top 2–3 inches of soil dry before you water again.

  • In winter, water even less—think of it as a little rest period for your plant.

🪴 Soil

  • Use a well-draining mix—think orchid bark, perlite, and a bit of potting soil. Hoyas hate soggy feet!

  • A chunky aroid or cactus mix works great too.

🌡️ Temperature & Humidity

  • Loves it warm and humid! Aim for 65–85°F

  • While it can handle average indoor humidity, it’ll thrive with higher humidity—so consider a pebble tray or humidifier if your air is dry.

🍽️ Feeding

  • Feed once a month in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer, diluted to half strength.

  • No need to fertilize in fall and winter.

🌱 Extra Tips

  • Training or trailing: You can let it trail in a hanging pot or train it on a trellis.

  • Repotting: Every couple of years or when it’s root-bound. Don’t go too big with the new pot.

  • Blooms: When happy, it might throw out some sweet-smelling flowers. Leave the flower spurs alone—they can bloom again!
