Size

The plant photos shown are our stock images used to represent the general appearance, size, and quality of the plant you’ll receive. Please remember that each plant is unique—natural variations in color, shape, and size are completely normal!

Light

  • Thrives in bright, indirect light.

  • Can tolerate low light, but the golden variegation may fade.

  • Avoid direct harsh sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Water

  • Water when the top 2 inches of soil are completely dry.

  • In winter, reduce watering to once every 3–4 weeks.

  • Always use a pot with drainage holes to prevent root rot.

Soil

  • Use a well-draining mix, like cactus or succulent soil.

  • You can improve drainage by adding perlite or coarse sand.

Temperature and Humidity

  • Prefers temperatures between 65–85°F (18–29°C).

  • Keep it away from cold drafts and frost.

  • Average indoor humidity is fine; it’s quite tolerant.

Fertilizer

  • Feed once a month during spring and summer with a balanced, diluted houseplant fertilizer.

  • No feeding needed in fall or winter.

Repotting

  • Repot every 2–3 years or when roots start crowding the pot.

  • Choose a pot only slightly larger than the current one.

Propagation

  • Easily propagated by leaf cuttings or division of rhizomes.

  • Allow cut ends to callous for a day or two before planting.

Common Problems

  • Yellow leaves usually mean overwatering.

  • Wrinkled leaves can indicate underwatering.

  • Watch for root rot and mealybugs.
