Firestick Cactus 6"

The Firestick Cactus sometimes called Pencil Cactus (also called Euphorbia tirucalli or "Sticks on Fire") is a super cool, sculptural succulent that brings major color vibes—especially in bright light where it turns fiery red-orange.

🔆 Light

• Loves sunshine! Bright, direct light is best. It thrives outdoors in full sun or indoors by a super sunny window.

• The more sun it gets, the brighter its colors—less sun means it’ll stay more green.

💧 Water

• Low water needs. Water deeply but only when the soil is bone dry.

• In warmer months: about once every 2–3 weeks.

• In winter: even less—once a month or so.

• Important: Never let it sit in water. It’s prone to root rot.

🪴 Soil

• Needs well-draining soil. Cactus/succulent mix works best.

• If using regular potting soil, add sand or perlite to improve drainage.

🌡️ Temperature

• Likes warm and dry—ideal temps are 60–85°F.

• Not frost-tolerant! Bring it inside if temps dip below 50°F.

🌱 Fertilizer

• Not super needy, but you can feed it during spring/summer.

• Use a diluted cactus fertilizer once a month during the growing season.

• It's not a true cactus—it's a euphorbia, and its milky sap is toxic and can cause skin irritation or eye issues.
