Diatomaceous Earth is non-toxic and safe for home use. It works by causing insects to dry out and die by absorbing the oils and fats from the cuticle of the insect's exoskeleton.
DE is a fine powdery substance derived from the fossilized remains of microscopic aquatic organisms called diatoms. 'These organisms have hard, silica-based shells that contribute to the unique properties of DE. It also contains trace amounts of other essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, and iron.
