Sedum is a vast genus of succulents belonging to the Crassulaceae family, native to various regions globally, though many popular species are native to Mexico. They are incredibly diverse, ranging from low-growing groundcovers to upright, clumping plants. All species are characterized by thick, fleshy leaves that store water, making them highly drought-tolerant. They are extremely popular for their resilience, ease of propagation, and often colorful foliage, which includes shades of blue-green, yellow, pink, and burgundy, especially when exposed to bright sun or cooler temperatures.
