Size

* The plant photos shown are our stock images used to represent the general appearance, size, and quality of the plant you’ll receive. Please remember that each plant is unique—natural variations in color, shape, and size are completely normal!

Light

  • Bright, indirect light is ideal — that’s where it grows best.

  • It also does great in low light, making it perfect for offices or darker corners.

  • Just avoid intense direct sun, which can burn the leaves (especially near a hot window).

Water

  • The golden rule: Let it dry out completely between waterings.

  • In warm months, water about every 2–4 weeks.

  • In winter, cut back to every 4–6 weeks (or even less if it’s cool and shady).

  • Always use a pot with drainage holes — soggy soil = root rot city.

  • If you’re ever unsure… wait another week before watering. Snake plants thrive on neglect!

Soil

  • Loves a well-draining mix — cactus or succulent soil works perfectly.

  • You can add extra perlite, pumice, or coarse sand for even better airflow around the roots.

Temperature & Humidity

  • Prefers 65–85°F (18–29°C).

  • Average indoor humidity is fine — it’s not picky.

  • Just keep it away from cold drafts or frost (it’s a tropical plant at heart).

Fertilizing

  • Feed lightly during spring and summer with a diluted succulent fertilizer once a month.

  • No need to fertilize in fall or winter.

Extra Tips

  • Wipe leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to remove dust.

  • Remove yellow or mushy leaves at the base.

  • Snake plants are slow growers, but they’ll eventually produce new shoots (“pups”) that can be divided and repotted.

Bonus: Air-Purifying Power

Snake plants are famous for helping clean the air — they can even convert CO₂ into oxygen at night, making them a great bedroom plant.
