Light

Loves bright, indirect light — a sunny window is perfect!

It can tolerate some direct sun, especially morning light, but too much harsh afternoon sun might cause the stems to scorch.
Water

Less is more!
Let the soil dry out completely between waterings. -
In warmer months, watering every 2–3 weeks usually works, depending on your indoor climate.

In winter, cut back to once a month or less.

Overwatering is the #1 way to upset this plant — it’s a succulent at heart!
Soil & Pot

Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix.

A pot with drainage holes is a must — soggy roots lead to rot.
Temperature & Humidity

Likes it warm: 65–80°F (18–27°C) is ideal.

Keep it away from drafts or cold windows — it hates chills!
Fertilizer

Feed lightly during spring and summer with a diluted cactus fertilizer (once a month or so).

Skip feeding in fall and winter when it’s resting.
Caution

The white sap (the “milk”) is toxic and irritating to skin and eyes.
Always wear gloves when pruning or repotting, and keep it away from pets and kids.
