Size

The plant photos shown are our stock images used to represent the general appearance, size, and quality of the plant you’ll receive. Please remember that each plant is unique—natural variations in color, shape, and size are completely normal!

LIGHT

  • Thrives in bright, indirect light.

  • Can tolerate moderate light, but leaf color may fade in low light.

  • Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves.

WATER

  • Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry between waterings.

  • Overwatering can lead to root rot, especially in slower-growing varieties.

  • Reduce watering in winter when growth slows.

SOIL

  • Use a well-draining, all-purpose potting mix.

  • Mixing in perlite or orchid bark improves drainage.

  • Avoid heavy or water-retentive soils.

GROWTH HABIT

  • Trailing or climbing vine; can grow long indoors.

  • Slow to moderate growth rate.

  • Ideal for hanging baskets, shelves, or moss poles for climbing.

PROPAGATION

  • Easily propagated from stem cuttings.

  • Place cuttings in water or directly into moist soil; roots appear in 3–5 weeks.

  • Cut just below a node for best results.

PRUNING & MAINTENANCE

  • Prune to control length or encourage fuller growth.

  • Remove yellowing or damaged leaves.

  • Pinching tips encourages branching and bushier growth.

REPOTTING

  • Repot every 2–3 years or when root-bound.

  • Use a container with drainage holes.

FERTILIZING

  • Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer.

  • Avoid fertilizing in fall and winter.

FLOWERING

  • Rare indoors; primarily grown for foliage.

TOXICITY

  • Mildly toxic to pets and humans if ingested; can cause stomach upset.

PRO TIPS

  • Bright, indirect light helps maintain the silvery-blue sheen.

  • Rotate periodically for even growth.

  • Slight underwatering is safer than overwatering.

  • Supports climbing on moss poles for larger leaves and fenestrations.
