Light

• Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain vibrant pink, cream, and green variegation.

• Can tolerate medium light, but colors may fade.

• Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Water

• Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy.

• Water when the top inch of soil feels dry.

• Use filtered or distilled water if possible — sensitive to chemicals in tap water.

• Reduce watering slightly in winter.

Humidity

• Needs high humidity (60% or more) to thrive.

• Low humidity can cause crispy brown leaf edges.

• Use a humidifier, pebble tray, or frequent misting.

Temperature

• Prefers 65–80°F (18–27°C).

• Avoid cold drafts or temperatures below 60°F (15°C).

Soil

• Use a well-draining, rich potting mix — peat-based with perlite or coco coir works well.

• Ensure the pot has good drainage.

Fertilizer

• Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer.

• Hold off in fall and winter.

Pruning & Maintenance

• Remove damaged or yellowing leaves to keep the plant tidy.

• Wipe leaves occasionally to remove dust and allow for better photosynthesis.

Propagation

• Propagate via division during repotting — gently separate rhizomes with roots attached.
