The plant photos shown are our stock images used to represent the general appearance, size, and quality of the plant you’ll receive. Please remember that each plant is unique—natural variations in color, shape, and size are completely normal!

 Light

  • Loves bright, indirect light — near a sunny window with filtered light is perfect.

  • Can handle some direct morning sun, but avoid hot afternoon rays that can scorch leaves.

  • Low light won’t kill it, but it’ll grow slower and might drop a few leaves.

  • Rotate it every few weeks to keep growth even and the braid upright.

 Water

  • Water when the top 2–3 inches (5–8 cm) of soil feel dry.

  • Give a deep soak until water drains out the bottom, then empty the saucer.

  • Money trees hate soggy soil — overwatering is the #1 killer (it causes root rot).

  • In winter, let the soil dry a bit more between waterings.

Tip: Use room-temperature water, and make sure your pot has a drainage hole!

 Temperature & Humidity

  • Prefers 65–80°F (18–27°C).

  • Keep away from cold drafts or heaters.

  • Loves moderate to high humidity — mist it occasionally or keep it near other plants if your air is dry.

  • A small humidifier nearby will make it extra happy.

 Soil & Pot

  • Use a well-draining mix — something like a blend for tropical houseplants or a mix of:
     1 part potting soil + 1 part perlite + 1 part peat/coco coir.

  • Repot every 2–3 years in spring to refresh the soil and give the roots room to grow.

 Feeding

  • During spring and summer, feed once a month with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer (half strength).

  • Skip feeding in winter when it’s resting.

 Maintenance & Pruning

  • Prune yellow or damaged leaves anytime.

  • You can trim for shape in spring — new growth will sprout from the cut points.

  • Wipe leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to remove dust and keep them glossy.

 Common Issues

  • Yellow leaves: Usually too much water or poor drainage.

  • Brown leaf tips: Low humidity or inconsistent watering.

  • Droopy leaves: Often a sign of overwatering (check the roots!).

  • Falling leaves after moving: Normal! Money trees are sensitive to change — it’ll adjust in a few weeks.
