 Light

• Bright, indirect light is best

• Avoid harsh direct sun (can burn those pretty variegated leaves)

• Can tolerate medium light but growth slows down

 Water

• Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry

• Keep soil lightly moist, not soggy

• Reduce watering in winter

 Temperature & Humidity

• Prefers 65–80°F (18–27°C)

• Loves higher humidity (60%+), but can adapt to average home levels

• Keep away from cold drafts or AC vents

 Soil

• Use a well-draining aroid mix (e.g., soil + perlite + orchid bark)

• Needs lots of airflow around the roots

 Fertilizer

• Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced, diluted fertilizer

• Pause feeding during fall/winter

 Growth Habit

• Slow-growing, but worth the wait

• Provide a moss pole or support if you want bigger, more dramatic leaves

 Pests

• Watch for mealybugs, spider mites, and scale

• Wipe leaves occasionally and inspect new growth

 Repotting

• Repot every 1–2 years or when roots circle the pot

• Don’t size up too drastically—just 1–2 inches bigger
