* The plant photos shown are our stock images used to represent the general appearance, size, and quality of the plant you’ll receive. Please remember that each plant is unique—natural variations in color, shape, and size are completely normal!

 Light

  • Nerve plants love bright, indirect light—think dappled sunlight or a few feet away from a window.
  • Avoid direct sun; it’ll scorch those delicate leaves. They can handle lower light too, but their colors might fade a bit.

 Water

Here’s the dramatic part: they wilt like they’re dying when thirsty… but perk back up fast after watering.

  • Keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy.

  • Water when the top inch feels slightly dry.

  • Use room-temperature, filtered, or dechlorinated water if possible—they’re a bit sensitive.

  • Good drainage is a must (no soggy bottoms!).

 Humidity

Nerve plants love humidity—think rainforest vibes.

  • Mist them often, use a humidifier, or group plants together.

  • Bathrooms or kitchens (with good light) are perfect homes for them.

  • Aim for 50–70% humidity.

 Temperature

They like it warm and cozy—65–80°F (18–27°C).
Avoid cold drafts, air conditioners, or heating vents.

 Soil & Pot

  • Use a peat-based, well-draining mix (like African violet mix or peat + perlite + orchid bark).

  • Repot every year or two when it looks root-bound.

 Feeding

Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted balanced houseplant fertilizer (½ strength is plenty). No need in fall or winter when growth slows down.

 Extras

  • Pinch back the tips to encourage bushier growth.

  • If it gets leggy, don’t worry—you can take cuttings and root them in water easily!
