Bromeliads have colorful, long-lasting blooms (which last for weeks) that contrast beautifully against the strappy green leaves. You'll typically see them flower in shades of pink, red, orange, and yellow. This beautiful tropical showy houseplant is a fun addition to any sunny space you may have. Colors vary based upon what's in stock.
Care Guide
Light: Bright, indirect. Avoid direct sun.
Water: Done either by moistening the soil or filling the center depression ("cup") formed by the rosette of leaves. Allow the top two inches of soil to feel dry to the touch before watering, during warmer months this looks like roughly once a week.
Soil: Well draining, often a mixture of potting soil and sand. You can use two-thirds peat-based soil and one-third sand. You can also use orchid mix, charcoal, or soilless potting mix.
Toxic: Non-toxic. Safe for pets and young children.
Repotting: Not necessary.
