Light:

Bright, Indirect Light: ‘Hahnii’ thrives in bright, indirect light but can also tolerate low light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

Watering:

Infrequent Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Typically, water every 2-4 weeks, depending on humidity and temperature. In winter, reduce watering frequency.

Humidity:

Average Humidity: This plant does well in average household humidity (30-50%). It’s tolerant of drier conditions.

Temperature:

Moderate Temperatures: Ideal temperatures range from 60°F to 80°F. Protect from temperatures below 50°F and avoid cold drafts.

Soil:

Well-Draining Potting Mix: Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a cactus or succulent mix. You can also mix regular potting soil with perlite or sand for better drainage.

Fertilization:

Minimal Fertilization: Fertilize sparingly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, diluted fertilizer every 4-6 weeks. Avoid fertilizing in fall and winter.

Repotting:

Every 2-3 Years: Repot every 2-3 years or when it becomes root-bound. Choose a slightly larger pot with drainage holes.

Pests:

Monitor for Pests: While generally pest-resistant, watch for spider mites, mealybugs, and aphids. Treat infestations with insecticidal soap or neem oil.

Propagation:

Offsets or Leaf Cuttings: Propagate by separating offsets or through leaf cuttings. Allow the cut end of leaf cuttings to callous before planting in soil.

Additional Tips:

Toxicity: Be aware that snake plants are mildly toxic to pets if ingested, so place them out of reach of curious animals.
