Light
• Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate medium light.
• Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
• Can adapt to fluorescent lighting, making it great for offices.
Watering
• Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry.
• Use filtered or distilled water if possible, as it’s sensitive to tap water chemicals.
• Avoid overwatering; it’s prone to root rot due to its succulent-like leaves.
Soil
• Prefers well-draining soil, such as a mix of potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark.
• Avoid heavy, moisture-retentive soil.
Temperature & Humidity
• Thrives in 65–80°F temperatures.
• Prefers moderate humidity but adapts to average indoor levels.
• Keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Fertilizer
• Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half-strength every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer.
• Reduce feeding in fall and winter.
Growth & Maintenance
• Peperomia ‘Ginny’ grows compactly and doesn’t need frequent pruning.
• If it becomes leggy, pinch back stems to encourage bushier growth.
• Repot every 2–3 years or when it outgrows its pot.
Common Issues
• Yellowing leaves: Overwatering or poor drainage.
• Drooping leaves: Underwatering or cold stress.
• Leaf curling or browning edges: Low humidity or excess direct sunlight.
