Iron Cross Oxalis 6”

Commonly called Shamrock this oxalis variety is loaded with personality with a bright splash of purple!

Light

• Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct morning sun.

• In hot climates, provide partial shade to prevent leaf burn.

Watering

• Keep the soil lightly moist but not soggy.

• Water when the top inch of soil feels dry.

• Reduce watering in winter when the plant may go dormant.

Soil

• Prefers well-draining, loamy soil with organic matter.

• A mix of potting soil, sand, and perlite works well.

Temperature & Humidity

• Thrives in 65–80°F 

• Can tolerate mild frost but will go dormant in cold weather.

• Prefers moderate humidity, but it adapts well to average indoor conditions.

Fertilizer

• Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).

• Avoid over-fertilizing, as Oxalis doesn’t need heavy feeding.

Dormancy

• May enter dormancy in late fall or winter, losing its leaves.

• Reduce watering and stop fertilizing until new growth appears in spring.

Growth & Maintenance

• Remove spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming.

• If growing indoors, rotate the pot occasionally for even growth.
