Hey plant friend! 🌿 You're caring for Crassula arborescens 'Ripple Jade', aka Ripple Jade or Curly Jade — a gorgeous, wavy-leaved succulent that’s surprisingly easygoing yet full of personality. Here's how to keep it happy:

☀️ Light

  • Thrives in bright light—ideally 4–6 hours of direct morning or late afternoon sun. Indoors, a south- or west-facing window is ideal

  • Too much midday sun can scorch its leaves; if leaves burn, move it to a slightly shadier spot

💧 Water

  • Water deeply using the “soak and dry” method—let soil fully dry before watering again

  • Reduce watering in winter and be cautious—its soil must never stay damp or waterlogged

  • Overwatering leads to mushy or yellow leaves; underwatering causes shriveling and dropped leaves

🌿 Soil & Potting

  • Needs very well-draining, sandy or succulent soil—add perlite, coarse sand, or vermiculite

  • Use a pot with drainage holes. Repot every few years in only slightly larger pot to avoid excess moisture retention

🌡️ Temperature & Hardiness

  • Prefers 65–75 °F (18–24 °C) but tolerates down to ~25°F (–4 °C) briefly; not frost-hardy

  • In colder climates, it's best grown as an indoor or container plant moved inside during winter

🌼 Growth & Bonsai Potential

  • Grows into a shrub up to 3–4 ft tall and wide in ideal garden settings; indoors it stays compact and bushy .

  • Can flower with small white or pink star-shaped blooms in late winter to spring

✂️ Pruning & Propagation

  • Prune in spring to shape or remove dead stems; it bounces back quickly .

  • Root stem or leaf cuttings easily—allow cut ends to callous, then plant in dry, well-draining soil

💩 Fertilizer

  • Optional: balanced succulent fertilizer (10–10–10) monthly during spring and summer

  • Not required—repotting into fresh soil each year supplies nutrients naturally .

🐛 Pests & Safety

  • Generally pest-resistant. Watch for mealybugs, spider mites, aphids—treat early with neem oil or insecticidal soap

  • Toxic to pets and humans if ingested; keep out of reach of curious paws or little ones

🌬️ Humidity & Airflow

  • Prefers low to average humidity, good airflow; avoid overly humid or stagnant areas
